LRNS Centenary 2010 - 2011

The Board of Management and staff marked this important milestone by hosting a concert by the Royal Irish Academy Intermediate Orchestra on April 18th 2010, publishing a 96 page full colour hardback book “The lessons we learned and games we played 100 years at Lindsay Road National School”, holding a Back to School day and Centenary Gala for past pupils and current parents in June 2010, publishing “100 Recipes for 100 years” cookbook, and laying a commemorative stone plaque in January 2011. The commemorative stone was unveiled by President Mary McAleese on January 10th 2011.

Any one of these events would have been a fitting celebration of the school’s Centenary. However the breadth of celebrations meant that past and present LRNS families and pupils were able to take part and honour our special school.
